Il 23 dicembre scorso, all’età di 84 anni, si è spento il compagno Alberto di Fazio. Lo ha stroncato un cancro al colon e il dolore per la morte, sempre a causa dello stesso male, del figlio Rolando avvenuta il 24 ottobre 2005.
Alberto è stato uno di quei rari militanti del Pci che hanno saputo sviluppare autonomamente una radicale critica allo stalinismo e a comprenderne la sua natura controrivoluzionaria e coerentemente a staccarsene. Uscito dal Pci nei primi anni sessanta, si avvicinò al nostro partito diventandone uno dei militanti più attivi. Era un ferroviere molto stimato dai suoi compagni di lavoro per la sua tenacia e il suo stare in prima fila nelle lotte dei lavoratori.
Nel 1963 venne espulso anche dal sindacato dei ferrovieri (C.G.I.L - Sfi) per essersi opposto, insieme a un consistente gruppo di lavoratori, alla introduzione della “delega sindacale” per cui le quote di iscrizione al sindacato sarebbero state trattenute direttamente dalle aziende dal salario; una pratica consociativa denunciata come il punto di approdo di quel lungo processo di trasformazione del sindacato da strumento della lotta economica dei lavoratori a pilastro della conservazione capitalistica.
Successivamente, una diversa valutazione critica della svolta impressa da Berlinguer al Pci, nella sua marcia di allontanamento dall’Urss, che Alberto riteneva solo formale, lo portò a un riservato e sofferto isolamento.
Da qualche tempo aveva ripreso contatto con noi e siamo certi che se l’età ormai avanzata e la malattia non l’avessero impedito ci saremmo reincontrati. Non poteva essere diversamente dato che Alberto - come ci ha scritto la figlia Rita: “ha sempre lottato per i diritti dei lavoratori, contro il capitalismo e contro tutti i partiti esistenti, capendo che l’unico a favore del proletariato era il vostro Partito Comunista Internazionalista e l’unico modo per poter uscire dal capitalismo era la rivoluzione.”
Addio Alberto, non ti dimenticheremo!
